Sixth Form Scholarships (16+ Entry)
At Lingfield College Sixth Form, we offer scholarships to students who demonstrate exceptional ability and potential in their chosen area of study or specialism.
Scholarships are available to both internal and external applicants entering Year 12, and are awarded following an application and assessment process that takes place in Year 11.
We offer Sixth Form Scholarships in the following areas:
- Academic
- Music
- Art
- Drama
- Sport
Fee Remission & Assistance
Sixth Form Academic Scholarships carry a 30% fee remission. Scholarships in Art, Drama, Music, and Sport offer up to 10% fee remission, depending on the candidate's strength.
All scholars are eligible to apply for Means-Tested Financial Assistance if they meet the criteria.

Apply for an Academic Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates should be on track to achieve top grades in the subjects they wish to study at A Level (or in related disciplines).
- A love of learning, academic ambition, and independent thinking
Application Requirements:
- Complete the online application form
- Provide a personal statement outlining academic interests and aspirations
- Submit report and GCSE predicted grades
- Attend an interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team

Apply for a Sixth Form Academic Scholarship
Apply for an Art Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
- A strong and consistent record of high-level artistic achievement
- Commitment to pursuing Art at A Level
Application Requirements:
- Submit a portfolio with a wide variety of media (at least 6 pieces)
- Provide a reference from an Art Teacher or Mentor
- Attend an assessment morning and interview with the Head of Art

Apply for a Drama Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
- Students should show outstanding talent and commitment to Drama
- Expected to study Drama at A Level or play a leading role in the school’s theatrical life
Application Requirements (Performers):
- Prepare and perform a monologue (selected from a school-provided list)
- Participate in a drama workshop
- Submit a Drama CV outlining relevant experience
- Interview with the Director of Drama
Designers (Tech, Costume, Set, etc.):
- Present a short portfolio and a presentation explaining a design concept
- Interview with the Director of Drama

Apply for a Music Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong practical performance skills in at least one instrument (including voice)
- Commitment to the musical life of the Sixth Form and wider school
Suggested Minimum Standard:
- Grade 7+ on principal instrument and Grade 5 Theory
- Grade 6 on second instrument (if applicable)
Application Requirements:
- Perform two contrasting pieces
- Complete sight-reading and aural tests
- Interview with the Director of Music
- Submit a reference from a current music teacher

Apply for a Sports Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proven performance in one or more of Lingfield’s key sports (e.g. Football, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Rugby)
- Representation at club, district, county or national level is expected
- Strong leadership and commitment to Sixth Form sport
Application Requirements:
- Submit a reference from a coach or PE teacher
- Attend the Sixth Form Sports Scholarship Assessment Day
- Interview with the Director of Sport
