Sociology Teacher – to start September 2026

At Lingfield College we have an exciting teaching opportunity for a talented, experienced and highly qualified teacher to join an expanding Sociology, Philosophy and Religion Department. From September 2026, we are introducing Sociology GCSE and A level to our evolving curriculum.

The successful candidate will show the potential to be an outstanding classroom practitioner, have the ability to instil a passion for their subject and play a full and active role in all aspects of school life at Lingfield.  You will be able to teach Sociology across GCSE and A Level, and Philosophy and Religion to Key Stage 3, as well as be a motivated and self-reflective professional who is capable of working independently and as part of a team.

The Senior School has excellent facilities, and we have small classes to enable focus on individual students. A Level, BTEC and GCSE results are consistently excellent, enabling most students to gain their first choice of university.

We are committed to ongoing personal development, and with management training and sponsored learning programmes, we can help you to achieve your professional goals.

The extra-curricular programme at Lingfield is exciting and extensive and all teachers are expected to contribute to it.  Applications are equally welcomed from the state and independent sectors.
