Early Years Practitioner (Under 2s) – to start January 2024

We are currently recruiting an Early Years Practitioner (Under 2s) to join our friendly Nursery team, providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children from 6 months to 4 years of age. 

Day-to-day tasks include working in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to promote the well-being of the children, implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and assisting with creative displays within the Nursery.

You will have experience of working in a similar setting and be able to provide a fun and stimulating learning environment.  You will have a childcare qualification, ideally be NVQ 2 or 3 qualified and have a knowledge of the EYFS curriculum. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential.

A knowledge of the independent school sector would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Salary: Salary discussed at interview.

Hours: Part-time 12.00 to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks.

Holidays: 5.6 weeks paid holiday (inclusive of the usual statutory holidays). 

Pension: Nest Pension Scheme.

Head of Hockey – to start January 2024

We are recruiting for the role of Head of Hockey to start in January 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter, to join the PE Department at our Senior School.  The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual with a high level of energy for the role.

We are an inclusive school aiming to allow all pupils to play competitively. In years seven and eight, all our pupils play competitive hockey each week. Our 'A' teams perform well in county and national competitions and play in a strong fixture list against schools in Surrey, Sussex and Kent.  Many of our players are involved in the player pathway system and play for local clubs in East Grinstead and Sevenoaks where we have strong links. 

This term-time-only role could be offered on a full or part-time basis with 4-5 weekends working per term, as well as being available to work on occasional School sports tours and trips during the School holiday period.

Salary: Competitive salary discussed at interview.

Midday Supervisors

We are looking for Midday Supervisors to help at lunchtimes in our Prep school, to ensure children are interacting in a safe and enjoyable environment.  You will be a kind and caring person who is a good communicator with colleagues and children and committed to promoting the welfare of our Prep children. Duties include supervising children in the playground and dining hall during the busy lunch break period.

If you enjoy working with children from Nursery to Year 6 and think that you would be suited to the role, we would be delighted to hear from you. 

Temporary Job Roles at Lingfield College

We are currently recruiting staff to cover adhoc roles across the School as follows:

  • Senior School Study Supervisor working Monday to Thursday 4.00 to 5.00 term time only, Invigilators for exam periods in our Senior School.
  • Prep School After School Club Assistants working from 3.30 to 5.45 term time only, Midday Supervisors for lunchtime periods in our Prep School.
  • Nursery Assistants working adhoc hours to help with staff cover in our Nursery.

Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant - Holroyd Howe

We have a flexible vacancy for a kitchen porter/ kitchen assistant at our Senior School. 

The kitchen porter role consists of carrying out washing up, cleaning, assisting with putting the stores away and supporting general duties around the kitchen.

This role is Monday to Friday 07.00-3.00am (42 weeks per year) with the occasional Saturday.

This will be an annual salary of £17,640 per annum.

Alternatively, we can extend this to a full-time position working in our Prep school assisting the chef with the holiday club and Nursery during the school holidays.

The annual salary for a full-time position will be £21,924 per annum

The role will include some food preparation, serving, general cleaning duties and washing up.

Good communication skills are required as you will be front-of-house serving the students and staff.

The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar position, however, training will be given.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS and 2 references.
