Senior Laboratory Technician - Sep 2024 

We are currently recruiting a Senior Laboratory Technician to assist with the smooth running of the Science Department whilst adhering to all legislative requirements in relation to Health and Safety. 

Day-to-day tasks include co-ordinating and advising on the use of practical resources to meet the needs of the science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the Department.  You will also line manage two Laboratory Technicians within the team. 

This post is a varied and busy role and will require someone who is highly organised, is approachable and willing to deal with a variety of tasks with a ‘can do’ and flexible approach to work. Ideally you will have a formal science qualification and be able to demonstrate a good technical expertise to support the Biology curriculum. Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential.   

This is a full-time role working 8.00am to 3.00pm, term time only plus 10 days.

Sixth Form Study Supervisor - Sep 2024

We are currently recruiting a Sixth Form Study Supervisor to work with our Sixth Form students in their allocated study periods, encouraging and boosting student confidence in attending by being available to provide help as required.

Day-to-day tasks include creating electronic registers for study periods, following up on missing students by trying to locate them in the Sixth Form, and dealing with any administration tasks, such as creating a Sixth Form newsletter.

This post is a varied and interesting role and will require someone who has experience of working with students in a friendly but authoritative way, and who can work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.  ICT knowledge and skills in the learning environment would be an advantage.

Salary: Competitive salary discussed at interview

Hours: Wednesday 8.40am - 5.00pm, Thursday 8.10am - 5.00pm, Friday 9.35am - 3.50pm, term time only

After School Club Assistant – Sep 2024

We are currently recruiting an After School Club Assistant who will work as part of the After School Club team, providing high-quality play activities for children aged 4 to 11 in a welcoming, caring and safe environment. 

You will have experience of working within a similar setting and be able to provide a fun and stimulating learning environment.  Ideally, you will have an NVQ 2 or 3 qualification in childcare or play-work or other relevant qualification and have an understanding of children’s age and stage of development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential.

This role is offered on a part-time basis, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3.30 - 5.30pm, term-time only on a permanent contract with a competitive salary.

Catering Assistant - 30 hours per week

This is an exciting role at a beautiful school in Lingfield, Surrey.  The General Catering Assistant role is a customer-facing job, serving young students in the school, assisting the chef with light kitchen preparations, cleaning, washing up and adhering to all food safety and Health and Safety.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 10.30-16.30 during term time, and Monday to Friday 08.00-14.00 in the school holidays (excluding Christmas when the school is closed).

Catering experience is an advantage. However, training will be given.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS and 2 satisfactory references.
