Assistance with Fees
Opening Doors to Opportunity
At Lingfield, we believe that everyone should be able to aspire to the highest-quality education, regardless of financial circumstances. We have a long history of supporting talented young people who would benefit from an education at the school, regardless of family income.
We are proud to offer Means-Tested Financial Assistance for eligible pupils who would benefit from the School’s provision but whose families may require support with tuition fees.
Looking forward, the newly launched Lingfield Foundation will offer a small number of transformational bursaries — up to 100% support — for pupils of exceptional promise. (Please note: the Foundation programme is not currently open for applications.)
I am deeply grateful to Lingfield for believing in my potential. It meant so much to me and my family and made a profound difference to my education and future prospects. I am incredibly grateful for your support.

Means-Tested Fee Assistance
Pupils who receive financial assistance are valued members of the Lingfield College community.
We proudly provide an inclusive environment where every child can thrive and contribute, regardless of background.
Our support offers meaningful opportunities to access a Lingfield education — opening doors to new experiences, aspirations and futures.
Each award is means-tested and dependent on available funds, ensuring fairness and sustainability.
Awards are reviewed annually to reflect any change in family circumstances and may be adjusted accordingly.
Who Can Apply?
Financial Assistance is available for:
-
New or existing pupils who have been offered a Scholarship or Award, but require additional support to meet tuition fees.
or
-
Are existing pupils whose family circumstances have changed unexpectedly, making it difficult to continue paying full fees.
Each application is assessed individually, taking into account household income, assets, and personal circumstances.
Please read our Financial Assistance Policy & Procedure for full information.
How Much Support is Available?
We offer means-tested financial assistance to help make a Lingfield education accessible to families who may require support with tuition fees. The level of assistance is based on individual family circumstances, taking into account income, assets and overall financial position.
Awards are designed to ensure that financial support is allocated fairly, responsibly and in line with available funds, helping pupils who would benefit most from all that a Lingfield education offers.
How to Apply?
Applications for Financial Support are handled with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality. To apply:
1. Email the Director of Finance & Resources: Parents or guardians seeking financial assistance should write to the Director of Finance & Resources to request support, briefly outlining their circumstances and requesting a Financial Assessment Form.
2. Complete the Financial Assistance Form: Complete the required forms and provide supporting financial documentation as outlined in the guidance notes.
3. Assessment & Meeting: Applications will be carefully reviewed. To ensure fairness and accuracy, eligible families may be invited to a follow-up meeting or, in some cases, a home visit.
4. Notification: Applicants will be informed of the decision in writing. Any offer is provisional and subject to verification of financial information.
Please note: Pupils must be registered with Admissions before applying for Financial Assistance.

The Lingfield Foundation
The Lingfield Foundation reflects our deep commitment to widening access and opportunity. Established to provide transformational bursaries for pupils who would thrive at Lingfield but whose families could not otherwise afford the fees, the Foundation seeks to make a lasting difference through education. While the Foundation’s bursary programme is not currently open for new applications, its long-term goal is to fund life-changing places for talented young people from a range of backgrounds.
