Sixth Form Enrichment
Your time in Sixth Form is about so much more than simply studying your chosen subjects.
Our Enrichment Programme sits at the heart of Sixth Form life. It is carefully designed to complement academic study with real-world experiences, personal development opportunities and the kind of transferable skills universities and employers value most.
Students are encouraged to step forward, take initiative, and make the most of the many opportunities available to them, both in and beyond the classroom. Whether that’s volunteering, starting a new club, taking to the stage or learning how to cook for university, enrichment is designed to help students become confident, curious and capable young adults.
This is where personal growth happens — in the moments between lessons.

Co-Curricular Activities
With over 100 clubs and activities running across the Senior School and Sixth Form, there’s something for every interest — from Chess to Yoga, Shakespeare to Coding, Model United Nations and Creative Writing. Many Sixth Formers take the opportunity to launch and lead their own clubs, acting as role models and mentors to younger students.
This is an opportunity to explore passions, develop leadership skills, and build confidence in a space where student voice truly matters.
Drama & Music Productions
The Performing Arts at Lingfield is a hive of creativity and collaboration, helping students build confidence, stretch their imagination, and form lifelong friendships.
There’s a place for everyone in our drama and music productions — whether you're acting, directing, composing, performing, or working behind the scenes. Sixth Form students are encouraged to take on leadership roles and to participate both on and off stage.
From full-scale productions and concerts to informal showcases and House competitions, there are plenty of ways to get involved — and all levels of experience are welcome.
Sport
Sport is an integral and popular part of Sixth Form life. Whether you're playing competitively or taking part for fun and fitness, we offer a wide range of sports to suit every interest and ability.
Our specialist sports staff deliver high-quality sessions in a range of activities, including football, netball, yoga, cricket, athletics, and more. Sports support both physical and social development, while encouraging a lifelong appreciation for a healthy lifestyle.
You’ll also have opportunities to represent the school in fixtures, join recreational clubs, and take part in House competitions — all while developing teamwork, resilience, and balance alongside your academic studies.
Duke of Edinburgh - Gold
In the Sixth Form, you’ll have the opportunity to complete the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award — the highest and most prestigious level of this nationally recognised programme.
DofE Gold is all about pushing yourself, building independence and confidence, and gaining meaningful experiences that will set you apart — not just on your personal statement or CV, but in life.
You’ll complete five sections:
- Volunteering – make a difference in your community
- Physical – improve a sport or fitness activity
- Skills – learn something new or develop a talent
- Expedition – plan and complete a four-day self-sufficient adventure
- Residential – take part in a shared residential experience with new people
Lingfield students are supported every step of the way by experienced staff. Expeditions take place in stunning parts of the UK and offer a real sense of achievement — along with memories that will last for years to come.
The Gold DofE Award taught me so much about independence and teamwork. It was a challenge, but one of the most rewarding things I did at school.
