Celebration of Creativity at First Prep Art & Music Evening
The halls of Lingfield Prep were filled with colour, music, and joy last night as families, staff, and children came together for the school’s very first Art and Music Evening. The event, a celebration of the children’s creativity and hard work throughout the school year, proved to be a heartwarming and memorable occasion for all involved.
Visitors were treated to a vibrant gallery of student artwork, showcasing everything from expressive self-portraits to imaginative mixed-media creations. Each piece told a story of learning, exploration, and artistic growth, proudly displayed for family and friends to admire.
The musical performances added a magical touch to the evening. From solos to energetic ensemble pieces, children of all ages took to the stage with confidence, sharing the music they have worked so hard to master over the past months.
Head of Art, Mrs Berry shared her thoughts: “This was our first time hosting an event like this, and it was truly wonderful to see our school community come together in such a special way. Celebrating our students' artistic and musical achievements reminds us of the importance of creativity in education, and just how talented our children are.”
Families too, expressed their delight at the opportunity to come together and enjoy a celebration of the arts, with many hoping this will be an annual tradition!
