Announcing Our New Prep Head Prefect Team for 2025-26

We are delighted to introduce our new Head Prefect Team for the 2025–26 academic year.
Congratulations to Matthew, Megan, Lawrence, and Zoe.
They’ll be stepping into their new roles in September andare already brimming with ideas and enthusiasm. We asked them to share their thoughts as they prepare to take on these important responsibilities.
How did you feel when you found out you were picked for the Head Prefect team?
Zoe: I was really happy - it’s my biggest achievement because I’ve been at Lingfield for a long time and I feel really passionate about it. I have so many ideas that I want to share.
Why did you want to be Head Boy or Head Girl?
Matthew: I think it will be really fun and help me become more responsible and mature.
Megan: Lingfield has really helped me, so now it’s my turn to help them.
What ideas do you have for next year?
Megan: An Ideas box! I’ve already had ideas from my friends, like having a rota for the ping pong table so that all year groups get a chance to play.
Zoe: A Head Prefect Team noticeboard with happy messages and photos. We could even ask people to send in pictures of their pets in a funny place and the Head Prefect Team vote on which is the funniest picture.
Laurence: I think we could get more people involved in help as anti-bullying ambassadors....oh and we need bigger football goals!
How will you make everyone feel happy and included in school?
Laurence: I have Dyslexia and I want to be someone who helps other people with learning disabilities around the school.
Megan: I want to be someone in the playground who others can talk to - whether it's an achievement, something they're proud of or something that's worrying them. Just getting it off their chest can make a difference.
Zoe. I want everyone to know that even if you face challenges, you can still be anything you want to be.
What do you love most about Lingfield Prep School?
Laurence: The people around us.
Matthew: Yes, everyone is so welcoming.
What is one thing you would tell someone who is thinking of joining Lingfield Prep?
Megan: We have a super-cute wellbeing dog called Rosco! We also go on great trips! I recently stayed at Juniper Hall for the first time - I was a bit nervous, but it turned out to be so much fun.
Zoe: The school has helped me build my confidence in performing and overcome my fear of being on stage.
How would you describe school in one word?
Matthew: Safe.
Megan: Incredible!
Laurence: Fun.
Zoe: Unique.
