Year 10 Create Ephemeral Art at Wakehurst Place
This week, Year 10 Art students visited Wakehurst Place to explore the connection between nature and art. They immersed themselves in the beauty of the natural world through an artist’s perspective — sketching microscopic specimens, capturing contrasting images of natural resources for their projects and studying inspiring artists such as botanical painter Marianne North.
Guided by themes of light and movement, they also experimented with Ephemeral Art, creating temporary natural sculptures inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. A day filled with discovery, creativity and artistic exploration!
