Year 3 Transported Back to the Stone Age at Wilderness Wood

Year 3 students from Lingfield prep at Wilderness Wood

A day spent learning about the past at Wilderness Wood

As part of their cross-curricular topic on the Stone Age, year three enjoyed a fascinating visit to nearby Wilderness Wood this week.

They drew cave paintings using natural materials such as charcoal, carved spiral decorations into stone and made mini shelters for animals to live in. By handling Stone Age artefacts, they learnt more about life in prehistory.
