The Masked Singer comes to Lingfield!

Which teacher won Lingfield's first ever Masked Singer event? Read on to find out...

This week saw our fantastic teaching staff perform their own version of the hit show "The Masked Singer" to raise money for charity.

A crooning Koala, duetting Dinosaurs and a singing Shark stole the spotlight at the School's first-ever contest.

The Heads of House team are avid fans of the popular television show, where the audience tries to guess the identity of costumed singers. Inspired by the show and supported by other teaching staff they recreated the fun and frivolity on our own stage here at Lingfield College to raise money for charity.

Brave contestants included Mr Stanton, Head of Year 11 as the Poop Emoji, Ms Halket, Media Studies Teacher as the Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters, Dr Clingen, Chemistry Teacher as the Minion. Ms Allen and Ms Edwards made it to the final round alongside the Dinosaurs (Mr Gonachan and Ms van der Merwe). But it was Drama Teacher, Ms Pepler, masked as a Koala, who was crowned the winner of the contest with her rendition of Valerie by Amy Winehouse.

I was so impressed with all our contestants who captured the spirit of our Lingfield community, stepping outside their comfort zones, taking a risk and working together to help us raise some money for two very worthy causes!

Mr Scott, head of house team

Thank you all for an amazingly fun night-I do hope there will be more!
Mrs Pepler was just fantastic-great to see so many talents and so pleased it was the teachers turn to have some fun-it was most certainly that.

The event raised a fantastic £821. All profits will be split between our Ukraine efforts and Oakleaf, a local Mental Health Charity.
