Lingfield College Ski Trip 2023
This February half-term students and staff travelled to the Italian Dolomites for our first skiing trip in four years.
In the February half-term, 75 students from the Senior School travelled from Gatwick to Milan Malpensa where they then travelled by coach to the Italian Ski resort of Madonna di Campiglio. The resort treated us to the perfect ski conditions of beautiful sun alongside snowy mountains.
It was an intense week of skiing, with 5 hours of lessons provided by the local ski school every day. The groups were divided on ability from beginner to advanced to allow all students the best opportunity to progress. Over half the students were on their first ever skiing holiday, and it was fantastic to see their progression from the nursery slopes to challenging themselves down red runs by the end of the week. Our more advanced skiers were able to explore a range of black runs and snow parks in the Italian mountains.
After a full day of skiing students and staff enjoyed a range of evening entertainment including a well deserved pizza night, a Karaoke night, which showed some hidden talents from the Year 10 boys, and on our last night ice skating at the local rink.
The students represented Lingfield College in an excellent manner throughout the week, and we are already looking forward to planning next year's trip!
