Lingfield Prep Awarded Primary Science Quality Mark

We are delighted to announce that Lingfield Prep has been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark.

For over a decade, the Primary Science Quality Mark (PQSM) has been setting children on a path to a life filled with exciting possibilities and opportunities by giving them access to a strong foundation in quality primary science education.  

PSQM is run by the University of Hertfordshire, and is a comprehensive year-long professional development and school improvement programme that gives primary science subject leaders the knowledge, capability and support needed to improve the quality and profile of science education across the entire school. 

Lingfield Prep staff - led by Science Lead Mrs de Villiers - have worked hard over the past year to develop a rich, varied, and inclusive science curriculum. This has ensured that all our children have access to a strong foundation in quality primary science education.

Children have been engaged and inspired by changes to the curriculum they have experienced, and an increased emphasis on eco-related activity outside the classroom provides numerous opportunities for children to use scientific skills and methodologies actively to answer science questions.
