An Evening of Art and Design at Lingfield Prep

This week, we opened the doors to our (wonderfully cold) assembly hall for our annual Art Gallery Evening. Mrs Berry, our talented Head of Lingfield Prep Art, put the exhibition together to celebrate the diverse range of projects in which pupils have been involved this year. 

Year 6 Art Captains Imogen and Sylvie welcomed everyone to the event, sharing how meaningful art and design has been to them throughout the year.

Each child, from Nursery through to Year 6, had a creation on display; from self-portraits to clay pots, abstracts to soap carvings, pupils were extremely proud to show their family and friends their progress this year.

We have had a brilliant year in the Art department, with children developing their foundation skills, exploring more DT and craft elements, and understanding art as a process and knowing the true value in being their eccentric, creative selves.
