Lingfield Ignite Programme
Lingfield Ignite is a fully funded Saturday enrichment programme for local Year 5 and 6 pupils. It brings academic discovery, creativity and practical skills together in a welcoming place where children can try something new and build confidence.
Part of The Lingfield Foundation, Lingfield Ignite opens up new experiences to children from our wider community who do not attend Lingfield College. The programme is designed to make learning feel like an adventure: children investigate ideas, work with others, tackle challenges and discover interests they may not yet have had the chance to explore.
As they prepare for the move to secondary school, pupils can strengthen their academic foundations while developing confidence, resilience, communication and independence. There is space to ask questions, make friends, and enjoy the learning process.
What will children do?
Each Saturday combines an academic session with a different activity or creative challenge. The programme brings together a broad range of subjects and experiences. Examples include:

Who is it for?
Lingfield Ignite is for children in Years 5 and 6 at local primary schools who would enjoy exploring new ideas and experiences. It is designed for young people with curiosity and potential, including those who may not otherwise have access to this range of enrichment activities.
Children will be encouraged to try things out, share ideas and learn alongside others in a supportive setting.
Moving to secondary school is an exciting step, but it can also feel daunting. Lingfield Ignite gives children time to practise working with new people, speak up, solve problems and grow more independent in a supportive setting. We hope they leave each session with new knowledge and a stronger sense of what they can do.

The first Lingfield Ignite cohort is planned to begin in January 2027. If you are a parent or carer of a child in Year 5 or 6, complete the Expression of Interest Form, and our team will be in touch with further information.

Does my child need to attend Lingfield College?
No. Lingfield Ignite is designed for children from local primary schools who are not currently pupils at Lingfield College.
Is there a cost to take part?
No. Lingfield Ignite is a fully funded programme within The Lingfield Foundation.
When will the sessions take place?
