Introducing the Prep Head Prefect Team for 2026/27

We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Prep School Head Prefect Team for the upcoming academic year.

Chosen for their positive attitude, commitment to school values, and dedication to supporting others, these pupils will serve as role models for the Prep School community.

As Head Prefects, they will play an important role in representing the voices of their peers, welcoming new pupils, supporting school events, and working closely with staff to help make our school an even better place to learn and grow.

Please join us in congratulating: Felix, William, Ophelia and Zita! Let's hear what they have to say...

How did you feel when you were picked for the Head Prefect Team?

Zita: I was really excited to get the position.

Felix: I was happy that all my work paid off.

William: I was really happy and excited.

Ophelia: I was overjoyed to be given this opportunity.

Why did you want to be a part of the Head Prefect Team?

Ophelia: I thought it was an amazing opportunity to demonstrate the school values and to make sure everyone feels welcome to talk to me.

Felix: I thought I would be a good person to do it and bring ideas to the school, such as mentoring younger children.

Zita: I wanted to be a role model for the younger years to look up to.

William: I thought it was a good position to be a responsible role model for the younger year groups.

What’s one thing you look forward to participating in as a Head Prefect?

Felix: Mentoring, speeches and prayer on special assemblies and holding the doors open for people to welcome them to our events.

William: The speeches at celebration days and assemblies. This will give me confidence to speak in front of other people

Ophelia: I'm really excited to show parents around at open mornings, I think the Head Prefect team can really help show Lingfield at its best and draw more people into Lingfield.

Zita: The open mornings and public speaking at events.

How would you describe Lingfield Prep?

Ophelia: Welcoming: I only started at Lingfield recently and I already feel like I have been here for a long time! Every time I step into a lesson, I see how much potential I have to learn and succeed in lessons

Felix: Brilliant, because I always feel challenged and stretched in my school work.

Zita: Adventurous, because there are so many activities that we are challenged to do.

William: Amazing, because I always learn something new in every lesson.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to new starters?

William: Show your true personality and be yourself

Ophelia: Throw your whole heart into it and be brave

What would you add to the school to make it even better?

Ophelia: Buddy lunchtime and talk to your buddy a bit more to get to know them

William: Going with the younger years and mixing with them

What are your favourite memories of Lingfield Prep?

Felix: In year 5, I really enjoyed a Humanities lesson when we represented a country, and we were given a product to make and sell. I was France and got to trade with other countries.

Ophelia: My favourite memories so far have been my first day when everyone was so welcoming, and I made lots of friends, and also going to Nationals in Birmingham and winning a bronze medal in the 600-metre finals.

William: In Years 4 & 5, I represented Lingfield at National Athletics finals in Birmingham, and our team won Gold and Bronze medals.

Zita: I also really liked the Humanities lesson when I was Portugal. Our teachers made the lesson really fun!
