Lingfield Equestrian Host School Show Jumping Event at Felbridge

On Sunday, 15th March, Lingfield College hosted our second show jumping competition at Felbridge Showground.
The event was extremely well-supported, with over 150 entries representing dozens of schools from across the South East. Fortunately, the rain mostly stayed away, and the day proved to be a huge success.
Lingfield College fielded competitors in almost every class, from the lead rein up to the 90cm class, achieving some fantastic individual and team results.
Individual
In the lead rein class, Onella (Yr 1) completed a super speedy round, but an unlucky pole prevented her from placing.
In the 40cm class, Millie (Yr 4) produced another fast round, while Onella went clear.
Both Savannah (Yr 5) and Millie rode very well in the 50cm class, gaining valuable experience and, most importantly, thoroughly enjoying themselves.
The biggest class of the day was the 60cm. Orianna (Yr 6) was exceptional and was rewarded with a well-deserved fifth place after a clear round.
Ezabella also gave a valiant effort in the 90cm class, but it wasn’t quite her day on Sunday.

Team
Lingfield fielded a team in the 70cm class consisting of Lucy (Yr 9), Orianna (Yr 6), Sophia (Yr 8) and Scarlett (Yr 8). All four girls rode brilliantly and were delighted to secure a well-deserved first place. Orianna also placed sixth individually and Sophia fourth.
The school also fielded five competitors in the 80cm class. Ezabella (Yr 10), Olivia (Yr 9), Daisy C (Yr 9), Daisy S (Yr 8) and Sophia produced some excellent rounds, earning Lingfield another team first place. Ezabella also achieved a very well-deserved second place individually.
