First and Second Place at EG Schools' Cross Country

On Sunday 12th October, Lingfield Prep once again competed in the annual East Grinstead and District Schools’ cross-country races. Our year 4 runners competed over 1500m course and the year 5&6 competitors running over 2300m.  

Well done to the U11 girls’ team, who finished in second place overall.

The U11 boys’ team claimed first place and collected the shield for this year's event. Well done to them.

Individually, James(3rd), Leo (3rd), Reggie(4th) and Clara(6th) received medals or trophies for their finishes.

Our team successes were even more remarkable considering we had several athletes competing up a year group.

Many congratulations to everyone who took part in the races and represented the school extremely well. Also thank you to Mrs Smyth and Mrs Leppard who helped take the U9 and U11 teams on the day.
