Year 12 PE and Business Trip to Tottenham Stadium

This week, our Year 12 Business and PE students enjoyed an excellent and highly relevant visit to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, gaining first-hand insight into one of the most advanced sporting venues in the world.

The day combined a behind-the-scenes stadium tour with a thought-provoking lecture from Mr Douse, which explored the commercial model that underpins modern elite sport. Students were able to see how the stadium operates far beyond match days, showcasing how Tottenham have successfully diversified their offer through concerts, events and a strategic partnership with the National Football League, making the venue a global, year-round business.

For Business Studies and Btec Sport students, the visit brought classroom theory to life-highlighting branding, revenue streams, sponsorship, fan engagement and long-term commercial sustainability. For PE and A Level students, the focus on high-performance environments, athlete facilities and sports science provision demonstrated how elite infrastructure supports player preparation and performance.

Overall, the visit was a real success, giving students a powerful understanding of how world-class facilities, commercial innovation and sport intersect at the highest level-and how these principles directly link to their studies and future career pathways.
