World Book Day fun for all at Lingfield College
This WBD Lingfield students across the school were able to take part in lots of activities to make it a fun and memorable day.
World Book Day is a wonderful opportunity for children to celebrate their love for reading and books.
Our youngest students in Nursery had an absolute blast dressing up this year and modelling their wonderful costumes in a catwalk show!
Prep School ran a book bring-and-buy sale with proceeds going to the Prep School Charity Wildlife Aid. Pupils also attended an interactive workshop with visiting children's author Ian MacDonald. Ian has written more than thirty books for a range of educational publishers and specialises in reluctant readers series.
At Senior School the library was a hive of activity as students could take part in a quiz, listen to an audiobook and sign up to the new library book club. Launched by librarian Mrs Fallows, the book club includes a great selection of titles to choose from each term including non-fiction and dyslexia-friendly titles. Students can sign up any time in the library and will have the opportunity to take part in exclusive activities and competitions (and win prizes!).
