Prep School Raises over £10,000 for Charity in 2023-2024!

Throughout the year, pupils took part in a range of fun and creative fundraising events, including the Reindeer Run, where they wore festive antlers, and several Non-Uniform Days. They also enjoyed the Mindfulness Monkey Name Guess, Easter and Gingerbread raffles, which added to the excitement. Pupils participated in a World Book Day Sale, encouraging them to swap stories and contribute. Highlights of the year included a triathlon and the Summer Fair, with stalls run by each class, bringing the community together for a day of fun and fundraising.

Thanks to these efforts, we were able to donate £5,186 to St Silvan's Area Charity, which supports vulnerable individuals and families in our local area. An additional £5,035 was raised for other charities close to our hearts, including Restless Development, Children in Need, Crawley Open House and the Food Bank in East Grinstead.

Head of Prep, Jacky Shackel, expressed her pride in the school community, "Raising over £10,000 is an outstanding accomplishment! Working with charities and supporting the local community is such an important part of our school ethos. I am so proud of the enthusiasm of our pupils and the generosity of our parents. Together we’ve made a real difference.”

Whether raising sponsorship, volunteering their time, joining in with events, or donating food, it is always wonderful to see such a strong sense of kindness and giving back.
