A Winning Week for Lingfield Hockey
What a fantastic week it’s been for Lingfield Hockey - with the U14s and U18s both winning Surrey Cup Tournaments, and the U13s taking second place in the ISA Nationals at Lee Valley. Congratulations to all the teams!
U14s: Surrey Cup
The U14s progress to Surrey finals after winning two games. Game 1 vs. Downsend: the girls were 3-1 down at half-time and came back to draw 4-4 at full-time. Game 2 vs. City of London Freemans: 4-1 put them top of the group.
U18s: Surrey Cup
The U18s progress to the next round after winning the Surrey Cup. They worked as a team, showing great determination until the very end. They faced City of London Freemans and Notre Dame schools. The final match was a tight contest and went down to penalties, which they won 3-0.
U13s: ISA Nationals
The U13s travelled to Lee Valley for the ISA National Tournament where 32 schools from across the country were competing. Winning their group (2 wins and 1 draw) they went through to the Cup qualifiers where they topped that group again (2 wins and 1 draw), which put them through to the Cup final where they drew 0-0 and unfortunately lost on penalties. They only conceded 1 goal the whole tournament.
