A Level Results 2021

Lingfield College is delighted to celebrate the outstanding success of the class of 2021 as they receive their A Level and BTEC results. In another extraordinary year, the students have proved exceptional in their response to the ever-changing situation, demonstrating their dedication, hard work and resilience to produce another set of superb results.

  • 30% of students achieved A*
  • 70% of students achieved A*/A
  • 91% of students achieved A*-B grades
  • 90% of students achieved A*/A in the Extended Project Qualification

Speaking about the results, Head of Sixth Form, Alison Folkard said, "Once again, it has been an absolute pleasure to celebrate results day with our outgoing year 13 students. Their time in the Sixth Form may have been unconventional, but they have committed themselves to the school in so many ways in addition to their studies and deserve all of the success they will no doubt continue to enjoy after Lingfield. I am tremendously proud of each and every one of them.”

The strength of today's results means that Lingfield students are once again exceptionally placed to secure their choice of destinations, with over 75 students heading off to universities to study around 50 different degree courses. The leavers are moving on to a wide range of institutions, including UCL, King's College London, Edinburgh, Warwick, Exeter, Imperial and Ravensbourne.

A number of students will take up prestigious degree apprenticeships, one student will be studying abroad, and some will be taking a year out before starting university or employment. The wide variety of destinations and subject combinations exemplifies the breadth of opportunities a Lingfield education offers, giving the students the confidence to pursue their individual interests and open up exciting opportunities for their future careers.

Outgoing Head Boy, Harkiran, will read Law at Exeter University after gaining an A* and two As. He said of his time at Lingfield College, “I didn't believe I could achieve grades of this standard, but the quality and standard of the teaching have inspired me; it has just been amazing!”

Sophia M has secured a place at Oxford after achieving four exceptional A* grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. She will read Mathematics and Philosophy at Worcester College. She believes several factors were a key to her fantastic results and said, “Model United Nations was a fantastic part of my time here at Lingfield, along with the Maths department and all the supportive teaching staff.”

Headmaster of Lingfield College, Richard Bool, said "In another extraordinary year for so many reasons, Lingfield students' exceptional results reflect the impressive resilience, positivity and hard work shown by the students during their time at the School. I am proud that these efforts have yielded such fantastic results and know that they will go on to great things in the future. We wish them every success."
