Deputy Nursery Manager – to start June 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join our Nursery team and play a key role in shaping outstanding early years provision.

Working closely with the Head of Nursery, you will help lead a nurturing, forward‑thinking setting where children are inspired to thrive.

This role is ideal for an emerging early years professional who is ready to take the next step in their career, broaden their leadership experience and make a meaningful impact within an independent school environment.

You will be actively involved in the day‑to‑day leadership of the Nursery, supporting high standards of care and education in line with EYFS, Ofsted and ISI expectations. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of the EYFS curriculum, build strong relationships with families and lead, motivate and support a dedicated Nursery team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 3 childcare qualification or higher
  • Has a strong working knowledge of EYFS, curriculum and safeguarding requirements
  • Is confident leading by example in a hands‑on role
  • Is highly organised, positive and committed to excellence

This is a full-time role working a shift pattern Monday to Friday, including 7.30am starts and 6.00pm finishes.

Senior Laboratory Technician

We are currently recruiting a Senior Laboratory Technician to assist with the smooth running of the Science Department whilst adhering to all legislative requirements in relation to Health and Safety.

Day to day tasks include co-ordinating and advising on the use of practical resources to meet the needs of the science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the Department. You will also line manage two Laboratory Technicians within the team.

This post is a varied and busy role and will require someone who is highly organised, is approachable and willing to deal with a variety of tasks with a ‘can do’ and flexible approach to work. Ideally you will have a formal science qualification and be able to demonstrate a good technical expertise to support the Chemistry curriculum. Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential.

The Senior School has excellent facilities, and we have small classes to enable focus on individual students. A Level, BTEC and GCSE results are consistently excellent, enabling most students to gain their first choice of university.

Nursery Apprentice – Lingfield, Surrey

What you’ll be doing
You’ll play an active role in the day-to-day life of the nursery, working closely with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure every child feels safe, supported and inspired to learn.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with experience of working with young children who brings energy, warmth and enthusiasm. You may already have a relevant childcare qualification (ideally NVQ Level 2) and be getting ready to take the next step in your career. You’ll have excellent communication skills and the confidence to work on your own initiative, as well as a team-focused mindset and a positive, can-do attitude.

Hours and benefits
The role is full-time, 40 hours per week all year round. The nursery is open Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 6.00pm, and hours are worked on a shift basis within these times. We offer:

Digital Marketing Executive (Content & Social)

  • Reporting to: Head of Marketing
  • Hours: Full Time | 40 Hours per week | Full Year (Flexible working options considered, including adjusted start/finish times or reduced holiday hours)
  • Salary: £31,000 - £34,000

At Lingfield College, we are looking for a creative and proactive Digital Marketing Executive to join our Marketing Team.

This is a hands-on, content-led role, ideal for someone who enjoys capturing real moments and turning them into engaging digital content. Working across the School, you will create short-form video, photography and social media content that brings Lingfield to life and supports our wider marketing activity.

The successful candidate will be confident, organised and full of ideas, with a natural understanding of what makes content engaging across digital platforms. You will enjoy working collaboratively with staff and pupils, and will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Alongside term-time content creation, the role also supports wider marketing activity during school holiday periods, offering a varied and well-rounded experience.

Kitchen Porter 

Start Date: March 2026

Reporting to: The Head Chef

Objectives: 

To perform and assist in a variety of tasks, including cleaning, washing, food preparation, carrying and other manual duties as requested by the Head Chef.

Hours: 30 hrs per week, Term Time Contract. Overtime is available.

Start Date: March 2026

Responsibilities: 

  • To clean and wash up all kitchen and service items in an efficient manner.
  • To assist in the preparation of food as required.
  • To keep the kitchen areas in a clean and tidy state at all times.
  • To operate some heavy equipment according to manufactures instructions (full training will be provided).
  • To attend health and safety and food safety training courses as required.
  • To ensure cleaning areas under Kitchen Porters’ control are maintained to the company and COSHH standards.
  • To rigorously follow the unit cleaning schedules.

This is predominantly a Monday to Friday position but will involve evening and weekend working to support with school events.

This role is subject to an advanced DBS check and 2 satisfactory references.
