A transformational bursary through The Lingfield Foundation provides a fully funded place at Lingfield College for a talented young person from a lower-income family.
By covering 100% of school fees, along with relevant uniforms and equipment, we help children access an education their families could not otherwise afford.

Foundation transformational bursaries are intended for talented and ambitious children from lower-income families seeking entry to Year 7 at Lingfield College.
We assess family financial circumstances, the potential benefits a Lingfield education would offer the child, and the child's contribution to our community.

What is the difference between a transformational bursary and a scholarship?
A transformational bursary supports a talented child from a lower-income family and is based on an assessment of financial circumstances. Scholarships recognise outstanding talent, achievement and potential in areas such as academics, sport, music, drama and art. They offer a defined fee reduction and are not means-tested.
How do we apply?

How are our financial circumstances assessed?
You will receive an application form and instructions. The form asks about household income, expenditure, assets, liabilities, investments, accommodation and dependants. Supporting documents are required to verify the information provided.
Can we enquire if we live outside the United Kingdom?
Please contact the team to discuss your circumstances and the appropriate route. The School’s Crisis Support Fund is a separate initiative for children affected by war or humanitarian crises. Eligibility and any immigration requirements should be discussed with the team.
Is Foundation support the same as the School’s financial assistance scheme?
No. Lingfield College’s means-tested financial assistance scheme is managed separately from The Lingfield Foundation. Visit Assistance with Fees for information about that scheme.
