Our Future

Lingfield College has made many enhancements to its educational provision over the years - investing in the facilities, broadening the curriculum, enhancing the co-curricular programme beyond the classroom and developing its pastoral care.

It is vital to us that our whole community is involved in shaping our future. Our developments consider the views, experience and expectations of our pupils, staff, parents and Governors. We also take into account data and advice from the following:

  • Independent Schools Inspectorate Report (ISI)
  • Consultations with staff
  • Feedback from both the pupil councils and parental forums
  • Research findings

Sixth Form Dining Hall Summer 2026

Reimagining the Sixth Form Dining Hall.

This summer, we're transforming our Sixth Form Dining Hall into a contemporary, café-inspired environment, designed around the way Sixth Form students eat, meet, study and recharge throughout the day.

Features of the space:

  • Contemporary interiors inspired by natural materials and biophilic design
  • A range of seating options, including collaborative booth seating
  • Dedicated laptop-friendly spaces for independent study
  • A redesigned servery featuring a brand-new salad bar
  • Feature lighting and improved acoustics to create a calm, comfortable environment

This investment is part of our ongoing commitment to creating inspiring spaces that enhance the Sixth Form experience and provide students with an environment that supports both their wellbeing and independence.

Senior School Dining Hall 2025

In February 2025 we were delighted to officially open our newly refurbished Senior School Dining Hall, marking a significant milestone in the school’s ongoing development.

The redevelopment transformed the existing Dining Hall into a modern, bright, spacious, and welcoming environment designed to enhance the dining experience for students. The improved layout ensures a relaxed and sociable atmosphere, while the contemporary design and natural light create an inviting space where students and staff can enjoy their lunches in comfort.

Behind the scenes, the transformation extends to the kitchens, where catering staff now benefit from a more efficient and spacious working environment, enabling them to continue providing high-quality meals for the school community.

The refurbished space now includes dedicated hot food areas, a fresh salad bar, a dessert station, and homemade soups, ensuring a varied and nutritious offering for students and staff every day.
