Lingfield Equestrian Teams Qualify for Hickstead

At the end of December, nine students from Years 1-10 competed at the NSEA competition held at Duckhurst. They all rode their socks off and were a credit to the school!

Results

Onella (Yr 1), making her debut representing the school, placed 2nd in the 40cm lead rein class.

Millie (Yr 4) placed 4th in the off-lead rein 40cm class.

Both girls gained an individual qualification for the National Grassroots Championships at Hickstead in August.

Oriana (Yr 6) placed 4th in the 60cm showjumping class, again, earning her an individual qualification for Hickstead in August.

We also saw huge success with our team riders, jumping the bigger courses.

Lingfield Grey team jumping at 70cm (Sophia, Daisy (4th individual), Ezabella, Scarlett beat very stiff competition, with a first place win.

Lingfield Red team (Oriana, Lucy, Sophia and Olivia), were placed 2nd. Both teams have qualified for Hickstead, with several members of both teams also winning individual qualifications.

The 80cm team (Sophia, Ezabella, Olivia and Scarlett (3rd individual) had a first placing and will all be joining Daisy who has already qualified at this height.

Finally, Sophia (Yr 8) attempted her first 90cm course, having a couple of faults, but an otherwise lovely round.
