With around 600 pupils from Years 7 to 13, our Senior School in Surrey is the ideal size: small enough that all pupils are known and valued as individuals but large enough to offer fantastic facilities, a wide-ranging academic curriculum, and extensive learning experiences and opportunities beyond the classroom.
Our campus truly reflects our ethos; a school of traditional foundations, but with our eyes set firmly on the future. In the beautiful Surrey grounds sits the stunning Le Clerc building, positioned comfortably alongside our modern classrooms, sports facilities and dedicated performing arts buildings. What are the school’s transport options?
We offer a comprehensive and flexible bus service covering a wide area across Surrey, Kent, and Sussex. Routes and timetables are designed with convenience in mind, and many students make use of this service daily. A wonderful school that provides so many great opportunities. Not just academically but in sport, drama, music and all the other extra-curricular activities on offer. Our children have gained so much more confidence since starting Lingfield Senior School but most importantly, they are very happy.
A day in the life at Lingfield Senior School
- 7:45am
Breakfast is available every morning. We serve a variety of hot food, pastries, smoothies and cereals. Having breakfast in the dining hall allows students to socialise with their friends in a relaxed environment.
- 8:30am
Morning registration. Form time enables students to meet with their tutor and fellow students. Students are notified about events coming up in the week while also allowing them to prepare for the day ahead.
- 8:40am
Morning lessons begin. Students study a variety of subjects, the core ones being Maths, Science & English. In these subjects students are spilt into sets so that they receive the appropriate level of challenge in a supportive environment.
- 10:30am
Breaktime - after morning lessons students enjoy a break from the classroom, during which they are allowed to spend time with their friends in the fresh air. A selection of hot and cold snacks are available.
- 12:40pm
At lunchtime students make their way to the dining hall for a balanced and nutritious meal. There is a wide variety of options to choose from and students can enjoy a choice of hot food or a healthy alternative from our salad bar. During this extended period students take part in a range of co-curricular activities which include everything from hockey and Formula 1 Aerodynamics to knitting and film making and much more besides.

Afternoon lessons or games afternoon begins. There is an enviable range of sports to choose from with each year group being designated a sporting afternoon every week. All students have the opportunity to participate and compete in sports such as netball, football, hockey and cricket.
- 3.50pm
End of the School day. After-school clubs include study support groups, sports training clubs and music. Students are able to stay at School until 5pm to read or finish homework. Students are supervised in year group areas until 5pm. In the winter months (Nov until Feb half term) a free Shuttle Service runs from school to Lingfield Station at 16:55 each evening.
