Netball

Netball is the major girls' sport in the Spring term. The school regularly has both midweek and occasional Saturday fixtures for 1st, 2nd, U16 AB, U15 AB, U14 AB, U13 ABCD & U12 ABCD teams against other leading Netball Schools. In addition to this, we enter the National competition at 1st, U16 & U14 level as well as the National Independent Cup, School Sport Magazine Cup and Surrey Schools.

Netball at Lingfield College has vastly developed in recent years and we are now regularly advancing to county, regional and final stages of many of these competitions.  Notably for two seasons running, the 1st team have received the Final of the National Independent Cup. We have a close link with CD Phoenix Netball team and many of our girls represent the country and/or regional teams. Lingfield Netball is going from strength to strength, and the depth across the teams is ever expanding.

We are lucky to have one indoor and five outdoor courts, which provide an opportunity to get as many girls involved, whether it be competitively or recreationally. Although the main ‘season’ runs from January to April, our pre-season starts early and runs throughout the Winter Term. Teams will train for between three and four hours a week with expertly trained and experienced coaches.

Every two years the Netball teams have the opportunity to travel abroad on a Tour, with Barbados being the most recent trip.
