Registration and Deposit: The offer of a place in our School is secured by completing a registration form and including the associated fee. Once the place has been accepted, the deposit must be paid. The acceptance deposit is non-refundable if the school place is not taken. It is retained until the child has left the school.

Payment Options:

  1. Payment in full on the first day of the term by Direct Debit
  2. Pay in 3 x instalments across each term by Direct Debit
  3. Payment in 12 x monthly instalments using School Fee Plan (credit subject to status, terms, and conditions)

Please note that no other payment terms are accepted unless agreed upon in advance by the Head of Finance and Resources.

Notice: Withdrawal from the school requires a full terms notice; failure to provide such notice obliges payment of the full term's fees. Notice must be given before the end of the preceding term. The same notice requirement applies to music tuition, learning support and transport services.

Sibling Discount: For families with three or more siblings attending the school, a 10% termly discount will be applied to the basic tuition fees for the third child and any subsequent children.

Discounts for Fees Paid in Advance: A discount is available if you choose to pay for a year or more years of fees in advance. The discount is dependent upon the length of advance payment. For those who wish to make fee payments in advance, please contact finance@lingfieldcollege.co.uk for further information.

Early Years Funding: We participate in the Early Years Funding Entitlement. Please view Nursery Fees for details.

Deferred Entry: An additional holding deposit of £1,800 is necessary to secure a deferred entry, reimbursed on the first term’s invoice.

Additional Charges:

Clubs: Lingfield College provides a diverse and enriching co-curricular programme included within the school fees. We are also pleased to offer some exciting and popular clubs run by external organisers, which incur an additional charge. The prices for these clubs will be sent with the booking information.

Examinations: All public examination fees are recharged to parents.

Stationery: In Senior School, certain personal books that pupils retain for ongoing studies are charged to parents. Pupils purchase their Mathematics textbooks so that they can retain the entire collection for reference as they progress through the school and some specialist textbooks for public examination courses.

Music Lessons: Music lessons for both the Prep and Senior Schools must be arranged directly with the Music Administrator. Lessons will be with visiting peripatetic teachers who will invoice parents directly. At Prep School, some instruments are available to hire.

  • Instrumental lessons: £220 per term (ten lessons)
  • Instrument hire: £25 per term

Learning Support Lessons: The school monitors children's progress carefully. Should your child be referred for additional SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) support, parents may be contacted so that targets can be discussed and agreed upon. Some specialist support is available during the day at an extra cost. Further details are available from the SENDCo department.

Wrap-Around Care: At Lingfield Prep, we offer full wrap-around care options and holiday clubs. Prices are updated on our website pages.

Plays, Concerts, Expeditions and Trips: While the school may occasionally subsidise the cost of trips related to the curriculum, parents are typically required to cover the expenses for such trips. Optional visits will incur full charges.

School Transport: Transport costs can vary with location. Visit our Transport Page for more information.

Insurance Options

While the School maintains a comprehensive portfolio of general insurance, parents can opt for additional coverage through the School Fees Protection Scheme. This scheme insures for the recovery of fees during a pupil’s absence due to sickness and provides an option for continued fee payment following the unexpected death of the principal financial contributor in the family. For details of both of these supplementary insurances please contact the Head of Finance & Resource

Pupils' Personal Possessions: The School does not accept responsibility for claims arising from loss of, or damage to, pupils' property. The cover should therefore be arranged by appropriate extension of the parent's household insurance policy.

Miscellaneous

The school reserves the right to adjust or modify any sums quoted above to accommodate unforeseen costs that may arise.

While attending Lingfield College, the Headmaster expects pupils and parents to demonstrate full commitment and support for the school during and outside school hours. A complete set of our terms and conditions is available here and enclosed with parent contracts.
