Review: The Lovely Bones -Thought consuming and intriguing

Live theatre is back! The Upper School Production of The Lovely Bones was a resounding success. Read the latest review from Isabel in Year 11.

The Upper School Production of The Lovely Bones was a resounding success. It was wonderful to be back to live theatre and welcome parents into school to see our young drama students perform. Congratulations to Mr McEwan and the Drama department on a 5 star production!

Isabel in Year 11 gave the play a glowing review:

The Lovely Bones was a production differing from many previous plays performed at Lingfield College senior school. An intriguing plot woven with an investigation; stolen from life at only 14, a girl exacted her influence in heaven to prompt her family and assigned detective to solve her murder.

The actors played their parts effectively and were able to deliver their assigned message with enthusiasm and consistent persona upkeep. It was clear they cared about their performance, and left with a great accomplishment.

Behind the scenes teachers and students worked successfully to keep the performance running, including people on the lighting boards, cuing the actors, and releasing the haze/fog.

A thought-consuming watch about the benefits of letting go."

Proceeds from the shows will be donated to the charity Cruse Bereavement support
