Lingfield Nursery and Reception Staff

We pride ourselves on having an excellent team of staff in the Foundation Stage, many of whom have worked at the school for many years, demonstrating a commitment and loyalty to the school as well as a love for the work they do.

All staff are carefully chosen with qualifications in Early Years, and for their caring and nurturing nature. The team all work closely with each child, displaying an enthusiastic, energetic and dynamic approach.

Our most recent ISI Inspection Report states, Children's welfare, learning and development needs are exceptionally well met by caring staff, inspirational teaching, and stimulating open-ended experiences recognising the uniqueness of each child.

Jen Bowler - Reception Leader

I started working at Lingfield College in 2008 as a Teaching Assistant. I then left and went on to complete my PGCE, having previously studied for a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science. I returned to Lingfield in 2010 as an NQT and have been working in Reception ever since. I am a trained Forest School Leader and thoroughly enjoy taking children from Nursery to Year 6 out for sessions in our Forest School. I have completed Autistic Spectrum Disorder Training, Teaching Children with Specific Learning Difficulties and Behavioural Management courses. I feel extremely grateful to have found my vocation working in Early Years, and am passionate about providing an engaging, nurturing and exciting learning environment.

Gemma Coomber - Early Years Practitioner

I have just returned to Lingfield college (2019) after having my daughter a few years ago in 2016. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education and have worked in a nursery since I gained this in 2009. I really enjoy being part of each child’s education and development, it is such a rewarding job. It’s so exciting when they accomplish something and they are so proud of themselves, as we are too!

Emma Reid - Early Years Practitioner

I have worked at Lingfield College Nursery since 2014.  I have a CACHE level 3 qualification in Childcare and I am currently in my fourth and final year of completing my university degree to gain a qualification within the Early Years.  I really enjoy working with children and supporting them with their progression in learning and developmental stages.

Natalie Shenton - Early Years Deputy Lead Practitioner

I have worked at Lingfield College Nursery since 2004.  I have a Diploma in Pre School practice level 3. In my own time I have been a Brownie Leader for over 15 years. I really enjoy working with children and providing exciting, stimulating activities to help them achieve their milestones.

Karen Ovington - Deputy Nursery Manager

I was previously manager of an Ofsted rated Outstanding Preschool. Kirsty Vines - Early Years Administrator

I have worked at Lingfield College Nursery since 2007. I have an NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce. I primarily deal with all Early Years’ Administration however I am also very fortunate to be able to come into class and work with our Nursery children on a regular basis.

Julie Newland - Early Years Practitioner

I have worked at Lingfield College since 2008 and have a DPP Cache NVQ 2 in Childcare and Education. My time here has been spent in the Foundation Stage, starting in nursery then moving into Reception. To me this is the most wonderful job. Caring, nurturing and teaching precious young children, watching their confidence build knowing that they feel secure and cared for in such a lovely environment.  Every day is new, exciting and filled with fun.

Jackie Saunders - Early Years Practitioner

I have worked at Lingfield College Nursery since January 2019, joining as Pool Staff. I soon realised how much I enjoyed teaching and working with  children. The sense of achievement I feel when the children learn what I am teaching them, and the elation on their faces when they understand is very rewarding. I have now joined the team as an Early Years Practitioner permanently. I have a catering background so really enjoy cooking with the children  and making the lessons fun. I am proud to help each child fulfill their potential.
