Administrator to Heads of Year

We are currently recruiting a part time Administrator to provide support to the Heads of Year within the Senior School.  Day to day tasks include disseminating information to other School staff regarding student concerns and progress, assisting with organising key events and taking minutes of meetings.  Additionally, the role involves working with the School Counsellor and the pastoral team to assist in supporting the emotional well-being of students,

This post is a varied and busy role and will require someone who is highly organized, able to relate well to school staff, students of all abilities, parents and carers and can demonstrate an ability to be empathetic, compassionate and non-judgemental.

iSams Co-ordinator

We are currently recruiting an iSams Co-ordinator to develop the School’s MIS systems to meet the needs of the school, for timely and accurate student data and management information.

The main responsibility for this role is to manage the iSAMS database and assist with the use of iSAMS across all areas of the School. The role will also be to provide technical support to staff and, occasionally, to parents and students.

The successful candidate will be required to have proven experience of working with databases with a good understanding of data handling, SQL and a knowledge of school systems including, ideally, iSAMS. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving, and interpersonal skills are also required.

This role could equally suit a graduate seeking a career opportunity as well as an experienced database administrator looking for their next challenge and progression.

Hours of Work: 08.30- 16.30 Monday to Friday

Term time only (34 weeks) plus 6 weeks working outside of term time - 3 weeks during Summer holiday, 1 week during Christmas holiday and the remaining 10 days may be worked in other holidays as appropriate in order to manage the pressure points as they are identified.

Salary: This role attracts a competitive salary and will depend on experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

Student Supervision Assistants

We are looking for Student Supervision Assistants to join team of cover staff from September.  The role involves supervising whole classes during short-term absence of teachers.  At Lingfield, we have small classes and our students have  ‘outstanding attitudes to learning and develop excellent relationships with their teachers’ (ISI 2017). The key duties include: 

• To maintain good order and keep students on task

• To respond to students’ questions and generally assist students to undertake set activities

• To use specialist skills/training/experience to support students

• To establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations

• To encourage students to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all students in activities

The key skills needed are:

Literate, numerate and good ICT skills

Experience of working with young people

Understanding how students learn

Ability to work independently and as a team

Ability to convey authority, earn students’ respect and apply boundaries

Good organisational and interpersonal skills

Understanding of safeguarding issues and promoting the welfare of young people

The rate of pay will be £10 per hour, paid on timesheet.
