GCSE Results 2020
Students, parents and staff are celebrating the School’s best ever set of GCSE results. 73% of all results were awarded the highest grades of 9 to 7.
Headmaster, Richard Bool, said, “I would personally like to thank and congratulate all the students and staff at Lingfield for their hard work over the past five years, culminating in today’s excellent results. We have seen some amazing individual grades as well as some exceptional performances from subject areas. Results in Maths and English were particularly strong. In English, more than 50% of the students achieved grades 9 to 8 and in Maths, almost 80% of the students achieved grades 9 to 7, with 22% achieving a 9. PE, Physics, Computer Studies, Music, and Religious Studies all achieved more than 50% grades, 9 to 8.
Mr Bool went on to add, “the students thoroughly deserve these excellent results as they have worked extremely hard to achieve them. The results provide students with a very good foundation for further study and I am sure they will all continue to excel in their 6th form studies.”
Head of year 11, Lisa Cooper, remarked “I would like to congratulate all the students on the fantastic results they have achieved. They have all worked extremely hard and often combined a diverse range of extra-curricular activities with their studies. The School prides itself on its superb pastoral care where students combine their studies with rich and rewarding opportunities outside the classroom.”
