"Thanks to the amazing teachers at Lingfield College and their ‘whole child’ approach, our son has developed not only academically, but also discovered a new passion for reading and filmmaking. They celebrate his successes and support him when needed. It is a wonderful environment to grow in." Parent of Year 7 pupil

If you would like to find out more, why not take a look at our Departmental videos. These include a chance to hear from our Head Boy and Head Girl team.

Entry into Year 7 at Lingfield Senior School is determined by our own Entrance Examinations which take place in the January preceding year of entry. The Examinations consist of a standard Verbal Reasoning paper, an English comprehension/creative writing paper and a Maths paper (both of which are set by the School). The School does not issue practice papers.

At Lingfield we encourage all candidates to visit the School and have an informal interview with the Headmaster. We will also take a reference from the candidate's current school.

Offers of places are awarded based on the results of the Entrance Examinations, together with an evaluation of a student's reference from their current school. Parents are informed, in writing only, in the middle of February in the year of entry. Parents will have two weeks to accept a place and secure it by returning a signed contract and the required deposit against the first term's fees. Lingfield regrets that it is unable to inform parents of results by telephone. Spaces permitting, offers will then be made to candidates on the waiting list after this time.
