Year 8 Reach ESFA National Semi-Finals
Year 8 are the first ever Lingfield Senior football team to reach the semi-finals of a national competition!
Last week our Year 8 team were celebrating after a 2-1 win against Broadwater School in the English Schools Football Association made them the first Lingfield team to reach the semi-finals of this national competition.
The semi-finals were played at Lingfield College today Monday but unfortunately, it did not go their way this time and they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Royal Russell School.
Director of Sport Mr Casey said, "I am absolutely delighted we reached the semi-final of the national cup, it wasn’t to be on this occasion, and Royal Russell are fantastic team. We wish them the very best in the final. The future is certainly bright for Lingfield football."
