Prep School Wisley Gardens Trip

We’re going on a bug hunt….

On Tuesday Reception we were blessed with glorious weather for the trip to RHS Wisley Gardens.

The children were able to explore the ‘secret’ bug garden, collecting all manner of minibeasts: we were even lucky enough to see dragon flies and a slow worm.

They swept nets through the long grass and used magnifying glasses to really get a close look at the things they had caught.

Our visit to the bird hide revealed a couple of swans and their cygnets, feeding in the pond weed.

After our picnic under a shady tree, we visited the magnificent glasshouse and discovered some amazing tropical plants and saw behind a waterfall.

We all had a fantastic day and would like to thank the parents who came with us.
