Netball Report

Lingfield's Netball continues to go from strength to strength.  The teams have enjoyed an increased success rate and the participation rate is higher than ever with 21 teams from U12 to Senior.

We have once again built on our successes with 2 teams qualifying for the Surrey Finals this year (U12 & U16). We have a plethora of talent across the age groups and hope to improve upon our recent success next year.

Every team has made significant progress over the course of the Netball term, whether this is in terms of attitude to training or pure skill. A special mention needs to go to the U12A, U13A, U15A and 2nd Teams who have all achieved a magnificent 75% win rate! The U16A team built on their accomplishments last year by once again remaining unbeaten outside of tournaments.

The most improved team of the year goes to the U13A team.  They have seen incredible progress raising their win rate to 75%, beating numerous schools they lost to last year. This team has huge potential and it will be exciting to see where they go next year.

This term we were lucky enough to see the Quad series being held in London. With 25 girls attending, this gave the girls an excellent opportunity to watch international netball at its best.

Special congratulations should also go to the following pupils who have been successful at representative level this year (representing Sussex or Surrey): Gabriella (Y8), Madeline (Y8), Esme (Yr8), Madeline (Y8), Liv (Y9), Elsie (Y10), Elise (Y10), Eve (Y11) and Hannah (Y11).

Every year colours are awarded to SNR players who have been fully committed to the Netball programme and/or have represented the 1st team. Half Colours are awarded to Molly (Y12), Rosa (Y13) and Athene (Y13) who have all achieved recognition this year.
