Lingfield Remote Learning

Lingfield College is fully committed to provide a continued provision of a varied and engaging education throughout the school during its temporary closure. The intended outcome is to maximise pupil learning, following the curriculum but also allowing opportunities for additional unplanned learning that radical changes to lifestyle and ways of working may present.

Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery) – pupils are sent activities and videos via the Interactive Learning Diary (ILD) under the Learning Zone.

Reception pupils are sent activities via the Learning Zone on the children’s ILD. Staff will upload teacher led videos to this area. A timetable is also given to parents with a suggested routine for home learning.

Key Stage One - Pupils are sent activities via email (Yr1), with hard copy packs available in school. Information will be saved onto Firefly. Year 2 will have activities set on Firefly.

Key Stage Two – Children will access learning via Firefly as well as live lessons via Microsoft Teams. Staff will also email plans where appropriate. Hard copy packs will be available in school as well.

The Senior School will follow a full timetable and lessons will start with a teacher-led Microsoft Teams meeting to guide learning for that period.

In Year 10/11 and Sixth Form a similar mixed economy will operate but there will be greater flexibility over the balance of interactive lessons and independent study, with Heads of Department deciding what will work best for each individual course.
