Juniper Hall Geography Trip

Last week 49 pupils from Year 11 visited the beautiful Juniper Hall which is part of the Field Studies Council.  Close to Box Hill and in an area of natural beauty, it was a wonderful location to visit and undertake geographical field studies.  Day one included the study of how the River Tillingbourne changes downstream due to increased velocity and erosion.  This included five site visits and the donning of wellington boots!   Day two was an urban study day, looking at the impacts of urbanisation on settlements within the London greenbelt and inside the M25.  The weather fortunately was kind and we all learnt a lot about rivers and urbanisation!
